Exploring MLS listings Phoenix? Whether you are looking for an urban condo in the heart of downtown, a single-family home in a quiet neighborhood or gated development, a new construction home with the latest designer features, sprawling horse property with room to roam, or a luxury estate in one of the many exclusive golf courses communities, Phoenix homes for sale accommodate every lifestyle and buyer. Now is the right time to buy as the Phoenix market is booming and home values are rising at a rate of 3.1% each month, according to Tina Tamboer, a real estate data analyst for the Cromford Report. Why You Should Consider Living in Phoenix, AZ
A thriving metropolitan city, Phoenix is the capital city of Arizona, the center of the Phoenix metro area, and home to over 1,721,504 People. Residents of Phoenix enjoy warm weather and sunshine most days of the year, major employment opportunities (Phoenix is the second-fastest-growing metro area in the U.S. for tech-sector jobs and is a major hub for software and emerging technology companies), exciting cultural and entertainment offerings, world-class shopping and dining options, popular annual events (Barrett-Jackson Car Auction and Waste Management Phoenix Open, just to name a few), nationally recognized school districts, scenic parks with miles of hiking and biking trails, over 200 courses, 4 major sports teams, Cactus League spring training baseball and more.
Other than the mountains in and around Phoenix, the city is generally flat, allowing the main streets to run on a precise grid with wide, open-spaced roadways. The area is split generally between its south, central, and northern parts, with locals referring to these areas as simply “South Phoenix” for example. Neighboring towns like Scottsdale and Mesa to the east and Glendale directly to the west of the city often get lumped into the area. Downtown Phoenix is rich in both historic charm and modern, cosmopolitan sophistication.
In terms of development, Phoenix looks more like an actual city than it has in decades. New apartment buildings and other commercial development have transformed the downtown area, and neighborhoods outside the urban core are bustling with hubs of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. A thriving business and entertainment district, Downtown Phoenix is home to indie restaurants, live music, professional sports, craft brews, cocktail culture, shopping at CityScape, and art galleries on Roosevelt Row, where the downtown art community congregates. Murals decorate the walls of the buildings, and colorful sculptures adorn the streets. Major arts and cultural institutions are also located in the Downtown area.

From end to end, there are currently 38 stations, including 11 park-and-ride stations. Use Valley Metro's trip planner to find the best route to your destination using light rail and busses (Metro Rail Maps and Schedules). Bicyclists may bring their bikes aboard the train.
Metro light rail trains depart stations at each end of the route every 12 minutes from about 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and every 20 minutes at other times. Trains start running at about 3:30 a.m. on weekdays and 4 a.m. on weekends and holidays. The last full trip of the day on Monday through Thursday begins at 11 p.m., arriving at the opposite end of the line at about 12:25 a.m. early the next morning. On Friday nights and Saturday nights (Saturday and Sunday mornings) the last full trip is at 2 a.m., arriving at the opposite end of the line at 3:25 a.m.
