Home to approximately 120,000 residents, San Tan Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in northern Pinal County, Arizona. Located in the Phoenix metro area's southeastern suburbs, San Tan Valley is only a few miles drive from the amenities of Chandler, Gilbert, and Queen Creek. Consisting mostly of master-planned planned communities, San Tan Valley derived its name from nearby San Tan Mountain Regional Park located about 7.8 miles away, with peaks that reach over 2,500 feet into the sky.
