Chandler
Located about 22 miles southeast of Phoenix, Chandler is a city suburb that’s both cosmopolitan and family-friendly. Home to nearly 258,000 people, Chandler is a diverse and affluent community situated in one of the fastest-growing innovation and technology hubs in the U.S. In the 1980s, Chandler’s agriculture-based economy shifted to technology when Intel Corporation began its operations here. Chandler's innovative technology base and excellent educational facilities provide the foundation for a comfortable lifestyle. The largest employer in Chandler is Intel Corporation with 2 campuses. Chandler is home to a vibrant and historic downtown, exciting cultural and recreation options, fabulous shopping (Chandler Fashion Center) and fine dining destinations, an excellent school system, over 60 parks and outdoor activities that can be enjoyed year-round, and several top-rated golf courses. Most of Chandler is served by the nationally recognized, A-rated Chandler Unified School District. Sun Lakes
Located about 24.7 miles southeast of Phoenix, Sun Lakes is a fabulous master-planned retirement community for active adults (40-plus years) featuring a vast array of resort-like amenities. The development has five distinct communities, each with its own golf course and clubhouse/activities center: Sun Lakes #1 (the original community (gated), Palo Verde (gated), Cottonwood (non-gated), Ironwood (gated), and Oakwood (gated). The town of Gilbert is located in Maricopa County about 22 miles southeast of Phoenix. Thriving in business and leisure activities, Gilbert has a vibrant Heritage District, great shopping (SanTan Village), a notable foodie scene, an excellent school system, numerous parks & outdoor recreation opportunities, and some of the best golf clubs in the valley. A youthful and vibrant community, the median age of Gilbert residents is 33.8 years with 67.6 percent of the population under the age of 45. The town of Queen Creek is located in Maricopa County, with a small portion extending into Pinal County. The bedroom community of San Tan Valley is bounded by the San Tan Mountains Regional Park on the west and the Gila River Indian Community on the southwest, with a population of around 99,894 (2020). San Tan Valley was named after the nearby San Tan Mountain Regional Park with more than10,000 acres of rugged wilderness and peaks that reach up to 2,500 feet. San Tan Valley consists largely of master-planned communities and offers the best of both worlds: Convenient access to city amenities and a laid-back, small-town lifestyle that makes the most of its scenic, Sonoran Desert surroundings. Residents enjoy easy access to top-rated golf courses, parks, trails, and other outdoor activities, while also being close to grocery stores, big box stores, restaurants, and everyday conveniences. Mesa
Mesa is a city suburb located about 20 miles east of Phoenix. Home to around 538,146 people, Mesa is the third-largest city in Arizona. The Polytechnic campus of Arizona State University is located in Mesa as well as the largest relief airport in the Phoenix area - Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Mesa has a rich cultural heritage and is currently experiencing tremendous economic growth due to the expansion of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport attracting many new businesses to the area. Mesa is currently home to major companies like Apple, Bridgestone, FUJIFILM, Mitsubishi, and Boeing, among others. Tempe
The city of Tempe was named after the Vale of Tempe in Greece, a gorge in the Tempi municipality of northern Thessaly, Greece. Home to approximately 195,805 people, Tempe is bordered by Phoenix and Guadalupe on the west, Scottsdale and the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community on the north, Chandler on the south, and Mesa on the east. Top employers in Tempe include Arizona State University, State Farm Insurance, Freedom Financial Network, JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, ABM Industries, Wells Fargo, City of Tempe, SRP, Honeywell, and Insight Direct Inc. Tempe has a lively downtown brimming with restaurants, stores, galleries, clubs, and nightlife and is also home to the main campus of Arizona State University. Ahwatukee is the southernmost village of Phoenix, known for its rugged natural beauty, picturesque mountain views, and charming small-town feel. Ahwatukee is situated at the base of South Mountain Park and Preserve, stretching along its northern border. With a population of around 83,665 (2020), Ahwatukee offers easy access to outdoor activities like hiking biking, and horseback riding in South Mountain Park, great shopping and dining options, several top-rated golf courses, and close proximity to major employment hubs. The community is served by the highly-acclaimed, A-rated Kyrene School District (Pre-K through 8th grade), one of the top-performing school districts in the state. Scottsdale
The city of Scottsdale is located in Maricopa County and has a population of around 265,249 (2020). Most of Scottsdale’s workforce is in the tourism industry.
